New Year - New Design

As I settle into the New Year I thought about redesigning one of NX - Studio's first sites which is anime.nx-studio.net

My main reasons for this is that I feel that I have neglected it somewhat in the past few months and it was the first live site, as well my deadline left some parts of the site incomplete. I would love to include more content and build on the content I already have. Some of the design and coding issues need to be addressed and I would like to make it feel / look more web 2.0 with its own unique style.

The screen shot is a web page design that we constructed as a mockup based on the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime title.

Hopefully the redesigned site will be live in 3-4 months but the screenshot is more of a design under development and of course may change to suit the site's style. Hopefully it will be designed and ready on time for you to enjoy.

Berlin 2007 / 2008

Having returned from my holiday to Berlin and gone straight back to work, I have only just found time to add the first post of 2008 to my blog.

Brandenberg Gate

Brandenburg Gate setup for the New Year celebrations that will take place in a few days time

My trip to Berlin was excellent and I definitely will go again in the future. I have decided to include some of my pictures of Berlin that includes images of the main landmarks.

Reichstag

Reichstag Building

Reichstag Berlin

The New Year celebrations was very impressive as well the Berlin residents who were very friendly towards tourist. Getting around the city was fantastic, if you live in England you would know how bad the public transport is and how it compares really shows how diabolical it is over in the UK.

Checkpoint Charlie

Checkpoint Charlie (The main crossing between in the American and Soviet Sector during the Cold War)

Looking at Berlin you can tell how much the city went through during the Cold War but since the unification it has become a rejoined city although you can tell the difference between the once Soviet and Western Sectors of Berlin when traveling between the two. My only disappointment about visiting the Checkpoint Charlie Museum was the almost extinct remains of the Berlin Wall. Obviously over time the wall has been demolished and looted by fanatics and souvenir hunters.

On my way back I sat in the plane and honestly thought about staying for another week it was such a excellent time and beautiful city I would love to visit Berlin again.
