Rebuild of Evangelion

I finally managed to download the Rebuild of Evangelion Trailer, this is the first out of four films to be produced that is the remake of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. The first film Evangelion 1.0 You are not alone will be released in Japan on 1st September but as for the UK / US release I am not sure but lets hope it is soon.

It looks damn near impressive with the retouched CG technology and what appears to be new scenes, I just wonder how much is new and what I really care about "Is there going to be a better ending to this magnificent Japanese Anime landmark?"

NERV

For those of you who haven't seen this series or the ending then I will quickly explain, Neon Genesis Evangelion is set in a future where half of Earth's population is dead due to the Second Impact caused by a meteor that struck Antarctica melting the ice cap raising sea levels, reshaping dry land and creating hot continuous seasons. The Anime draws a lot of references to religion in particular Christianity and the Book of Genesis.

A new threat has now emerged in this aftermath, they are called Angels which are seeking their creator or best referred as the first Angel Adam, which was the real hidden reason behind Second Impact but was covered by secret organizations. The Angel that finds Adam will merge to be one with its creator and cause the Third Impact that will result in the end of mankind.

Human kind only defense is Evangelion a biological mecha created from Adam the first Angel and Lilith the second Angel. These Evangelion's are piloted by the children Shinji, Rei and Asuka that all have links to the Eva's. Each of the characters have complex personality and the story focuses on them a lot. NERV the organization controlling mankind's defense with the Eva's has its own secret agenda which involves the Human Instrumentality Project, its purpose to evolve human kind into the next plain of existence to all become one and remove all the negative emotions in life. It is discovered that humans are actually the eighteenth angel in the film End of Evangelion, when all the other Angels are dead the Human Instrumentality Project begins and this is where it gets confusing.

Ok the ending is all very psychological its a matter of whether you cant follow Japanese with english subs? or... actually you don't even understand it in english dubbing. What the hell is going on? Well lets put it this way I know I am not the only one who fought the ending was messed up but they did release Neon Genesis Evangelion Death and Rebirth (a rework of the ending) which to be truthfully is even more confused scenes added to a bunch of confusing scenes...Get it? But wait a minute what about End of Evangelion...well it starts off well if you don't mind the massive increase of violence and sexual references that throws the series out of character but the action is good isn't it? Well yes but after 40 minutes or so it goes back to the confusing psycho babble, oh I give up it starts off brilliant and then like all things in life it becomes a huge disappointment.

Supposedly the new Rebuild of Evangelion will have a new conclusion to the story...but does that mean it will be a good ending? Don't get me wrong I like the series that's why I consider it to be one of my favorite shows written in My Profile.

Well I am actually looking forward to it whether its going to be a good or a messed up ending, Just can't wait!!

Almost forgot you can watch the Rebuild of Evangelion Trailer here.

Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

First up I would like to say I am a Man Utd fan, but when my mate paul had tickets to see the first real clash of the new premiership season I just couldn't say no and it had been a while since I been to a match.

Ashley Cole - Anfield

Having to travel to Anfield I had never before but unfortunately for me it was not pleasant first experience cost wise of course. With the price of train travel been what it is, I guess it may of been cheaper to travel by plane, but besides that I was looking forward to the game.

Unfortunately that same day Man Utd lost to Man City in the local derby 1-0, on the back of that result the Liverpool game was going to kick off and Liverpool having to face Chelsea the other title challengers I was hoping for a draw to benefit Man Utd.

Lucky for me I wanted a draw and what I got was a draw, although hoping for this result it was an interesting game with a lot of controversial decisions including a penalty?? A possible sending off with the two yellow cards for Chelsea's Michael Essien but it didn't seem that way after watching the highlights on TV and it was not a sending off.
